A list of trips that we've made so far
Here is where you'll find where we've been and what we thought of the routes.

I'll try to keep this as up to date as possible, but you know how it is . . . we'd rather be out and about on the road (or should I say off the road).

I'm trying to figure out how to add more sections to this page, the page format seems to be limited, but I'll add more when I know how.

Kavecany - 4th Sep. 2004

Being our first trip out and about, we thought we'd take back up with us.  Chloe's best friend Dominka and her parents Milos and Mira, came with us on a ride out to the ski-resort at Kavecany.  After several rides and one small accident on the bob-sleigh (no snow yet) we asked permission to drive up the ski runs.  The owner said a very surprised 'Yes' and we were on our way.  Driving up was no problem at all, and I could feel the AWD as it kicked in.  being our first trip, we took it relatively easy and spent around 15 minutes driving around the top of the hill.  It sure was an interesting feeling when we breached the crest of the hill on the way down sitting in 2.5t of 4x4.  When going up, you dont realize quite how steep the hill really was.  We selected low gear ratio and let the engine keep the speed down, I didn't want to hit the brakes for fear of slipping into a skid.  We made it down and recieved some cool looks from the spectators that had gathered at the bottom.  And there ended our first day out.

Jahodna 5th Sep. 2004

OK. So we made it up and down one hill - we are now fully qualified off-roaders (or at least thats what we thought!! STUPID).  We decided to hit the next ski-resort today Jahodna.  Again going up and down the hill proved no problem for the X and we found a real nice tractor track through the forest that just seemed to end in a big open area right in the middle of the forest.  A great place to stop and let the girls run around a bit.  This was fine.  When we returned back to the base of the hill, we noticed another small track that disappeared into the trees . . . this is where the fun really began. . . .

This page is still just a template, I'll get around to updating it maybe tomorrow. or next week at the latest. Please stop back and check it out
If I take too long to do this, please send me an email reminder and I'll get right to it.
